In the beginning, chaos reigned supreme, and the world was in disarray, unseen by any mortal eye. It was not until Pangu split the primordial void that clarity and turbidity were separated. Thus, the heavens and the earth were formed, and all living beings came to rely on the great benevolence of the universe. Everything in the world was created with goodness. To understand the mysteries of creation, one must turn to the "Journey to the West," a tale of overcoming tribulations.
It is said that the lifespan of the universe is divided into cycles. There are 129,600 years in a grand cycle, which is further divided into twelve periods, corresponding to the twelve earthly branches: Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu, and Hai. Each period lasts for 18,000 years. Let us consider a single day as a microcosm: During the Zi period, yang energy begins to rise, and by Chou, the rooster crows. In the Yin period, light has yet to spread, but by Mao, the sun rises. After breakfast in the Chen period, the Si period follows with activities. At noon in the Wu period, the sun is at its peak, and by Wei, it begins to set. In the Shen period, the evening meal is taken, and by You, the sun sets. During the Xu period, twilight falls, and by Hai, all is quiet. If we extend this analogy to the grand cycle, when the Xu period ends, the world becomes dark and lifeless. After another 5,400 years, at the beginning of the Hai period, darkness reigns, and all beings cease to exist, returning to chaos. Another 5,400 years pass, and as the Hai period ends and the Zi period begins, the world gradually becomes clear again. As the ancient philosopher Shao Yong said, "At the midpoint of winter solstice in the Zi period, the heavenly heart remains unchanged. Where the first yang energy stirs, life has yet to begin." At this point, the heavens find their foundation. After another 5,400 years, during the Zi period, the light and clear energy rises, giving birth to the sun, the moon, the stars, and the constellations—collectively known as the Four Symbols. Thus, it is said that the heavens were opened in the Zi period. After another 5,400 years, as the Zi period ends and the Chou period begins, the earth becomes firm. As the ancient text "I Ching" states, "How great is the Creative Principle! How profound is the Receptive Principle! All things are born, following the natural order." At this point, the earth begins to solidify. After another 5,400 years, during the Chou period, the heavy and turbid energy condenses, giving rise to water, fire, mountains, stones, and earth—collectively known as the Five Elements. Thus, it is said that the earth was shaped in the Chou period. After another 5,400 years, at the beginning of the Yin period, all things begin to grow. As the ancient calendar says, "When the heavenly energy descends and the earthly energy ascends, and the two energies combine, all creatures come into being." At this point, the heavens are clear, the earth is fresh, and the yin and yang energies unite. After another 5,400 years, during the Yin period, humans, animals, and birds are born, establishing the Three Talents of heaven, earth, and humanity. Thus, it is said that humans were born in the Yin period.
Thanks to Pangu's creation, the Three Sovereigns' governance, and the Five Emperors' establishment of order, the world was divided into four great continents: the Eastern Continent of Shengshen, the Western Continent of Niuhe, the Southern Continent of Shanbu, and the Northern Continent of Jutulu. This story focuses on the Eastern Continent of Shengshen. Off its coast lies a nation called the Kingdom of Aolai. Near the kingdom is a great sea, and within the sea stands a mountain called the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit. This mountain is the ancestral vein of the ten isles and the dragon of the three isles, formed since the separation of clarity and turbidity, and established after the primordial chaos was divided. It is truly a magnificent mountain! There is a verse to prove it:
It dominates the ocean's waves, and pacifies the mystical seas. The surging tides form silver mountains where fish seek shelter; the billowing waves create snowy rapids where the mirage-like creatures leave the abyss. At the corner of the wooden fire, high above the east sea, it rises as a towering peak. On the red cliffs, colorful phoenixes sing in pairs; before the sheer cliffs, a solitary qilin lies in repose. On the peak, one can hear the cries of brocade chickens, and in the stone caves, one can often see dragons entering and exiting. In the forests, there are deer with long lives and foxes with spiritual powers, and on the trees, there are mystical birds and dark cranes. The magical herbs and strange flowers never wither, and the green pines and cypress trees remain evergreen. The immortal peaches bear fruit constantly, and the bamboo groves always retain clouds. A ravine is covered with dense vines, and the surrounding embankments are adorned with fresh green grass. It is truly the pillar that supports the heavens where all rivers converge, and the root of the earth that remains unchanged through countless calamities. On the very top of this mountain, there is a magical stone. It is three zhang six chi five cun high and two zhang four chi in circumference. The height of three zhang six chi five cun corresponds to the 365 degrees of the heavens, and the circumference of two zhang four chi corresponds to the 24 solar terms of the calendar. It has nine orifices and eight holes, corresponding to the nine palaces and the eight trigrams. There are no trees around it to provide shade, but there are orchids and other fragrant plants beside it. Since its creation, it has been constantly exposed to the essence of heaven and earth, the brilliance of the sun and the moon. Over time, it has gained a sense of spiritual awareness. Within it, a fetal sac was nurtured, and one day it burst open, producing a stone egg, as round as a ball. Upon encountering the wind, it transformed into a stone monkey, complete with all its facial features and limbs. It immediately began to crawl and walk, paid respects to the four directions, and its eyes emitted two beams of golden light that pierced through the heavenly palace. This startled the great and compassionate Jade Emperor, who sat in the Golden Hall Cloud Palace and the Lingxiao Hall of the Heavenly Palace, gathering his celestial officials. Seeing the golden light, he immediately ordered the Thousand-Mile Eyes and the Wind-Listening Ears to go to the South Heavenly Gate to observe. The two generals, following the imperial decree, went outside and saw clearly and heard distinctly. After a short while, they returned and reported: "We have observed and listened to the source of the golden light, which is in the small country of Aolai in the Eastern Continent of Shengshen. There is a mountain called the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit, where a magical stone produced an egg that transformed into a stone monkey upon encountering the wind. The monkey is paying respects to the four directions, and its eyes emit golden light that reaches the heavenly palace. Now that it has started to eat and drink, the golden light will gradually fade." The Jade Emperor, in his benevolence, said: "This is merely a creature from below, born from the essence of heaven and earth. There is nothing extraordinary about it."
The monkey, in the mountain, learned to walk and jump, eating grass and trees, drinking from mountain springs, picking mountain flowers, and searching for fruits. It lived with wolves and insects as companions, tigers and leopards as groups, deer as friends, and macaques as relatives. It slept under stone cliffs at night and roamed among the peaks and caves during the day. Truly, "In the mountains, there are no calendar years; when the cold ends, one does not know the passage of time." One day, when the weather was hot, the monkeys gathered to cool off under the shade of pine trees. Look at them, one by one:
They leap from tree to tree, picking flowers and searching for fruits; they play with marbles, build sandcastles, chase dragonflies, catch bees, worship the heavens, pay homage to the Buddha, pull vines, weave grass hats, catch lice, bite and pinch, groom their fur, trim their nails, push and press, pull and drag, play freely under the green pines, and wash in the clear streams. After playing for a while, the monkeys went to the mountain stream to bathe. They saw the rushing stream, truly like rolling melons and splashing waves. As the ancients said, "Birds have their own language, and beasts have their own speech." The monkeys all said, "We don't know where this water comes from. Since we have nothing to do today, let's follow the stream upstream to find its source and have some fun!" With a shout, they all dragged their children, called their siblings, and ran together, climbing the mountain along the stream, until they reached the source, which was a waterfall. Behold:
A ribbon of white appears, and a thousand feet of snowy waves fly; the sea breeze cannot break it, and the river moon still shines upon it.
Cold air divides the green ridges, and the remaining flow moistens the greenery; the gurgling is named a waterfall, truly like a hanging curtain.
The monkeys clapped their hands and praised, "What beautiful water! What beautiful water! It turns out that this place connects to the foot of the mountain and directly to the waves of the great sea." They also said, "Whoever has the skill to go in and find the source, come out unharmed, and not hurt their body, we will all bow to him as our king." After calling out three times, suddenly a stone monkey jumped out from the crowd and shouted loudly, "I'll go in! I'll go in!" What a monkey! It was also his:
Today his fine name is revealed, his fortune is coming through; having an edge to live in this place, the king sends him to the fairy palace.
Look at him, he squats and closes his eyes, then jumps into the waterfall. Suddenly he opens his eyes and looks up, and there is no water or waves inside, but a bright and clear bridge. He stops, calms down, and looks carefully again. It turns out to be an iron plate bridge. The water under the bridge flows through the stone hole, hanging upside down and flowing out, covering the bridge door. He then owes his body to the bridgehead, walks and looks again, and it seems like someone's home, truly a good place. But see:
Moss piles up in blue, white clouds float over jade, light sways in patches of smoke and rosy clouds. The empty windows and quiet rooms, smooth benches with flowers growing. The milk grotto dragon pearl leans and hangs, winding around the ground with strange flowers. There are stoves and fire traces beside the cliffs, wine pots and dishes beside the tables with leftovers. Stone seats and stone beds are really lovely, stone basins and stone bowls are even more admirable. There are also one or two bamboo poles, three or five plum blossoms.
A few trees of green pines often bring rain, and it is like a human home in all respects.
After looking for a long time, he jumped over the middle of the bridge, looked around, and saw a stone tablet in the middle. There was a line of regular script on the tablet, engraved with "Flower Fruit Mountain is a blessed land, Water Curtain Cave is a fairyland." The stone monkey was overjoyed and quickly jumped out of the water, then squatted and closed his eyes, jumped out of the water, and clapped his hands and laughed, saying, "Great fortune! Great fortune!" The monkeys surrounded him and asked, "What's inside? How deep is the water?" The stone monkey said, "No water! No water! It turns out to be an iron plate bridge. On the other side of the bridge is a home made by heaven and earth." The monkeys said, "How do you know it's a home?" The stone monkey laughed and said, "This stream is a bridge under the bridge, flowing through the stone hole, hanging upside down to cover the door. There are flowers and trees beside the bridge, and it is a stone house. Inside the house, there are stone nests, stone stoves, stone bowls, stone basins, stone beds, and stone benches. In the middle of a stone tablet, it is engraved with 'Flower Fruit Mountain is a blessed land, Water Curtain Cave is a fairyland.' It is truly a place for us to live in peace and sleep soundly. It is also very spacious and can accommodate thousands of old and young. We can all go in and live, so as not to be subject to the weather. Here:
There is a place to hide from the wind, a place to stay when it rains. There is no fear of frost and snow, and no sound of thunder.
Smoke and rosy clouds always shine, auspicious energy often steams and warms. Pine and bamboo are always fresh every year, and strange flowers are new every day."
After listening to this, the monkeys were all very happy and said, "You go first and take us in, in!" The stone monkey squatted and closed his eyes again, jumped in, and called out, "Follow me in! In!" Those monkeys who were brave jumped in; those who were timid stretched their necks, scratched their ears and cheeks, shouted loudly, and after a while, they all went in. After jumping over the bridgehead, they all grabbed bowls and basins, fought for stoves and beds, moved them around, and it was truly the nature of monkeys to be naughty and restless, and there was no peace until they were tired and exhausted. The stone monkey sat on top and said, "Gentlemen, 'A person without trust, I don't know what can be done.' You just said that whoever has the ability to come in and go out, and not hurt their body, will be worshipped as the king. Now I have come in and out, and I have found this cave for you all to sleep soundly and enjoy the happiness of a family. Why not worship me as the king?" The monkeys heard this and immediately bowed without any objection. They all lined up according to their age, bowed to him, and called him "Your Majesty of a thousand years." From then on, the stone monkey ascended to the throne, and the word "stone" was hidden, so he was called the Handsome Monkey King. There is a poem to prove it. The poem says:
When the three yangs meet and harmonize, all living things are born. The immortal stone contains the essence of the sun and the moon.
Borrowing an egg to hatch a monkey to complete the great way, using his name and surname to match the elixir.
Looking inside, it is not recognized because there is no form. Looking outside, it is known to be a form.
Everyone in the generations belongs to this, and they can be called kings and sages at will.
The Handsome Monkey King led a group of monkeys, macaques, and horse monkeys, and assigned them to be ministers and assistants. They roamed the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit during the day and slept in the Water Curtain Cave at night. They were in harmony and did not mix with birds or beasts. They were independent as kings and enjoyed great happiness. Therefore:
In spring, they pick flowers for food, in summer they look for fruits for a living.
In autumn, they harvest chestnuts and walnuts to extend the season, and in winter they look for yellow essence to spend the year.
The Handsome Monkey King enjoyed the innocence of heaven and did not expect to live for three or five hundred years. One day, while having a happy banquet with the monkeys, he suddenly became worried and shed tears. The monkeys hurriedly bowed and asked, "Why is the Great King worried?" The Monkey King said, "Although I am happy now, I have a little worry about the future, so I am troubled." The monkeys laughed again and said, "The Great King is really not content! We have a happy meeting every day, in the blessed land of the immortal mountains and the ancient caves of the divine state, not subject to the jurisdiction of the Qilin, not afraid of the power of the phoenix, and not bound by the constraints of the human king. We are free and easy, which is a great blessing. Why worry about the future?" The Monkey King said, "Although we are not subject to human laws today and are not afraid of the power of birds and beasts, when we are old and our blood is weak, there is the old Yama who is in charge. Once we die, it is not worth living in the world and not being able to stay in the realm of the immortals for long." The monkeys heard this and covered their faces and cried, all worried about the impermanence of life.
Suddenly, a through-the-back ape monkey jumped out of the group and shouted loudly, "If the Great King is so far-sighted, it is truly the development of the Taoist heart! Now among the five insects, there are only three kinds of names that are not subject to the jurisdiction of the old Yama." The Monkey King said, "Do you know those three kinds of people?" The ape monkey said, "They are Buddhas, immortals, and sacred beings, who avoid the cycle of reincarnation, do not die, and live as long as the mountains and rivers." The Monkey King said, "Where do these three live?" The ape monkey said, "They are only in the world of Jambudvipa, in the ancient caves and immortal mountains." The Monkey King heard this and was very happy, saying, "Tomorrow I will leave you and travel to the ends of the earth, cross the seas, and visit these three to learn how to live forever and avoid the difficulties of the King of Hell." Ah! This sentence made him jump out of the cycle of reincarnation and made the Great Sage Equal to Heaven come into being. The monkeys clapped their hands and praised, all saying, "Good! Good! We will go over the mountains and hills tomorrow, gather some fruits, and hold a grand banquet to send off the Great King."
The next day, the monkeys really went to pick fairy peaches, pick strange fruits, dig up mountain yams, and dig up yellow essence. They also gathered all kinds of fragrant orchids, strange grasses, and flowers, and arranged them neatly on stone stools and tables, with fairy wine and fairy dishes. Behold:
Golden pills and pearls, red and yellow. Golden pills and pearls are like wax cherries, truly delicious; red and yellow are ripe plums, with a fragrant and sour taste. Fresh longans have sweet meat and thin skin; fire lychees have small nuclei and red sacs. The crabapple has green fruit and branches, and the loquat has yellow skin and leaves. Rabbit-headed pears and chicken-hearted jujubes can quench thirst and relieve fatigue. Peach and apricot are sweet and delicious like jade liquid and琼浆; crisp plums and bayberries are sour and greasy like fatty acid cream. Red-skinned black-seeded watermelons, four-lobed yellow-skinned persimmons. Pomegranates crack open, showing red sand grains like fire crystal beads; chestnuts are cracked open, showing hard meat like gold agate. Walnuts and ginkgo nuts can be used for tea, and coconuts and grapes can be used for wine. Hazel, pine, and hazelnuts are full of plates, and tangerines, sugarcane, and oranges are full of tables. Cooked yam, boiled yellow essence, crushed poria and coix seed, and simmered in a stone pot with a low fire. Even if there are delicious flavors in the world, how can they compare to the happiness of mountain monkeys? The monkeys respected the Handsome Monkey King to sit on top, and everyone lined up according to their age and rank, and took turns to offer wine, flowers, and fruits, and drank happily for a day. The next day, the Handsome Monkey King got up early and said, "Children, break some dead pines for me, weave them into a raft, take a bamboo pole as a pole, and pack some fruits and so on, and I will go." He really went alone on the raft, and paddled hard, drifting in the sea, taking advantage of the wind, and crossing the South Shambhala continent. This trip is:
The heavenly monkey has a high moral character, leaving the mountain and paddling with the wind.
Drifting across the sea to find the immortal way, determined to build great achievements.
Have a share and an edge to abandon secular wishes, and be carefree to meet the dragon of the primal energy.
It is expected that you will meet a kindred spirit, and explain the source and flow of all methods. It is also his time to come. Since he got on the raft, the southeast wind has been strong for several days, and it has sent him to the northwest coast, which is the South Shambhala continent. He tested the water with a pole, and found shallow water by chance, so he abandoned the raft and jumped ashore. He saw people fishing, hunting wild geese, digging clams, and making salt by the sea. He walked up to them, made a trick, and pretended to be a tiger, which scared the people to drop their baskets and nets and run in all directions. He caught one who couldn't run and took off his clothes, and also learned to wear them like a human, walking and talking in the city, eating and sleeping, and looking for the way of the Buddha and the immortal, looking for a way to live forever. He saw that people in the world were all for fame and profit, and none of them were for their own lives. It is exactly:
When will the struggle for fame and profit end? Getting up early and going to bed late is not free!
Riding a donkey and thinking of a fine horse, being an official and wanting to be a prime minister.
Worrying about food and clothing and being busy, why be afraid of the King of Hell taking you away?
Continue to have children and grandchildren to seek wealth and honor, and no one is willing to turn back!
The Monkey King visited the immortal way and had no chance to meet. In the South Shambhala continent, he wandered through the Great Wall and small counties for more than eight or nine years. Suddenly he came to the Western Ocean, and he thought there must be immortals overseas. He made a raft again and drifted across the Western Sea to the Western Continent of Niuhe. After landing and wandering for a long time, he suddenly saw a beautiful mountain with a deep forest. He was not afraid of wolves and tigers, and he climbed to the top of the mountain to look around. It was really a good mountain:
A thousand peaks open like halberds, and ten thousand ridges open like screens. The sun shines on the mountain mist, lightly locking the green color, and the rain collects the dark green color, cold and green. Old vines wrap around old trees, and ancient ferries divide the secluded journey. Strange flowers and auspicious grasses, tall bamboos and tall pines. Tall bamboos and tall pines, ten thousand years of evergreen to rival the blessed land; strange flowers and auspicious grasses, four seasons of evergreen to compete with Penglai. The sound of birds is near, and the sound of springs is clear. The ridges of the hills are surrounded by ginseng and orchids, and the cliffs are covered with moss everywhere. The undulating ridges have good dragon veins, and there must be high people with hidden names.
While watching, he suddenly heard someone talking in the depths of the forest. He hurriedly walked in, walked into the forest, and listened carefully. It turned out to be a song. The song goes:
"Watching the game of Go, the chess piece is rotten, and the sound of wood is heard. Walking slowly in the valley and the mouth of the cloud, selling firewood for wine, and laughing wildly to enjoy the mood. The autumn is high on the mountain path, leaning on the pine root to sleep, and waking up at dawn. Recognizing the old forest, climbing the cliff and crossing the ridge, holding an axe to cut dead vines.
After collecting them into a bundle, walking and singing in the market, exchanging for three liters of rice. There is no competition at all, and the price is fair. I don't know how to be cunning and clever, and I live a simple life without honor and disgrace. Where I meet, I am either a fairy or a Taoist, sitting quietly and talking about the Yellow Court." The Handsome Monkey King heard this and was very happy and said, "The fairy is hiding here!" He hurriedly jumped in and looked carefully again. It turned out to be a woodcutter chopping wood there. But see his very special dress:
He wears a bamboo hat on his head, which is the skin of a newly sprouted bamboo. He wears a cotton robe on his body, which is made of cotton. He wears a silk belt around his waist, which is made of silk from old silkworms. He wears straw sandals on his feet, which are made of dry reeds. He holds a steel axe in his hand, and carries a fire hemp rope on his shoulder. He is good at chopping dead trees and pulling pine trees!
The monkey king approached and called out, "Old immortal! Your disciple greets you." The woodcutter hastily dropped his axe, turned around, and replied, "I am but a humble man! I am not a complete person! How dare I be called an 'immortal'? I am a simple man with insufficient clothing and food. How can I be called an immortal?" The monkey king said, "If you are not an immortal, how can you speak the words of an immortal?" The woodcutter said, "What immortal words did I speak?" The monkey king said, "When I just came to the edge of the forest, I heard you say, 'Wherever we meet, we are either immortals or Taoists, sitting quietly and discussing the Yellow Court.' The Yellow Court is the true words of morality. If not an immortal, then what?" The woodcutter laughed and said, "To be honest with you, this song is called 'Full Court Fragrance,' and it was taught to me by an immortal. The immortal lives next to my home. He saw that my family was hardworking and often troubled, so he taught me to recite this song when I am troubled. It can both distract my mind and relieve my worries. I was just thinking about some shortcomings, so I recited it. I didn't expect you to hear it." The monkey king said, "Since your home is next to an immortal, why don't you follow him to cultivate and learn the way to immortality? Wouldn't that be good?" The woodcutter said, "I have had a hard life since I was young. When I was eight or nine years old, I knew human affairs, unfortunately my father died, and my mother was a widow. I have no brothers or sisters, only me. I have no choice but to take care of my mother day and night. Now that my mother is old, I dare not leave her. Moreover, my fields are overgrown, and I don't have enough clothes and food. I have to chop two bundles of firewood and carry them to the market to sell for a few coins, buy a few liters of rice, cook and make some tea and rice, and arrange some meals to support my old mother. That's why I can't cultivate." The monkey king said, "According to what you said, you are a gentleman who practices filial piety. You will definitely have good fortune in the future. I hope you can show me where the immortal lives, so that I can go and visit him." The woodcutter said, "Not far, not far. This mountain is called Mount Lingtai Fangcun. There is a cave called Xieyue Sansheng Cave in the mountain. There is an immortal in the cave, named Patriarch Puti. The immortal has countless disciples, and now there are still more than thirty people cultivating under him. You follow this small road and walk south for about seven or eight miles, and you will be there." The monkey king held the woodcutter's hand and said, "Brother, you should go with me. If I get any benefit, I will never forget your guidance." The woodcutter said, "You man, you really don't know how to change. I just told you so much, and you still don't understand? Suppose I go with you, won't it delay my business? Who will support my old mother? I have to chop wood, you go by yourself, go by yourself."
The monkey king had no choice but to say goodbye. He left the deep forest, found the road, crossed a hill, and after about seven or eight miles, he really saw a cave. He straightened his body and looked carefully. It was really a good place! Behold:
Smoke and rosy clouds scatter colors, the sun and the moon sway light. A thousand ancient cypresses, ten thousand tall bamboos. A thousand ancient cypresses, with rain half in the sky, are green and lush; ten thousand tall bamboos, with smoke in the valley, are dark green. Strange flowers are spread outside the door like brocade, and fragrant grass is sprayed beside the bridge. The stone cliffs are prominent and moist with green moss, and the hanging walls are covered with long green moss. Sometimes you can hear the cry of cranes, and you can often see the flight of phoenixes. When the crane cries, its voice shakes the nine marshes and the distant sky; when the phoenix flies, its feathers have five colors and the light of the colorful clouds. The dark apes and white deer appear and disappear, and the golden lions and jade elephants walk and hide. Carefully observing the spiritual blessed land, it is really like heaven! He also saw that the cave door was tightly closed, quiet and quiet, and there was no trace of people. Suddenly he turned his head and saw a stone tablet standing on the cliff head, about three zhang high and more than eight chi wide, with ten big characters on it, which are "Mount Lingtai Fangcun, Xieyue Sansheng Cave". The Handsome Monkey King was very happy and said, "The people here are really simple and honest. There really is this mountain and this cave." After watching for a long time, he didn't dare to knock on the door. He jumped up to the top of the pine branch, picked pine cones to eat and play.
After a while, he heard a "click" sound, and the cave door opened. A fairy boy walked out. He was really handsome and extraordinary, different from ordinary people. Behold:
His hair is tied in a bun with two silk threads, and his wide robe has wind in both sleeves. His appearance and body are different, and his mind and appearance are both empty.
A long-lived guest outside the world, a fairy boy who lives forever in the mountains. Not a speck of dust is stained, and the years are free to turn over.
The boy came out of the door and called out loudly, "Who is making a fuss here?" The monkey king jumped down from the tree, walked up, and bowed and said, "Fairy boy, I am a disciple who is looking for the way and learning to be an immortal. I dare not make a fuss here." The fairy boy laughed and said, "Are you looking for the way?" The monkey king said, "Yes." The boy said, "My master has just got up from bed and ascended the altar to preach. He hasn't said the reason yet, and he asked me to come out and open the door. He said, 'There is a cultivator outside. Go and receive him.' It must be you." The monkey king laughed and said, "It's me, it's me." The boy said, "Follow me in."
The monkey king straightened his clothes and followed the boy into the depths of the cave. He saw a layer of deep pavilions and towers, and a layer of pearl palaces and shells, and he couldn't say enough about the quiet rooms, until he reached the bottom of the jade platform. He saw Patriarch Puti sitting on the platform, with thirty small immortals standing on both sides of the platform. He was really:
The great enlightenment golden immortal has no dirty posture, the western wonderful appearance ancestor Puti;
Not born and not died three three lines, all qi and all spirit ten thousand ten thousand mercies.
Empty and quiet naturally follow changes, true and natural nature is at will;
With the same life as heaven, the solemn body, and the clear mind of the great master through the ages.
